A dab of colour behind the ear, at least 48 hours before any colour service — required by law in the UK for your safety.

Before any colour service — full colour, roots, highlights, balayage, toner, beard colour or men's hair colour — a patch test is required at least 48 hours in advance if you have not had one with us in the last six months. A small amount of the colour is applied behind the ear; if there is no reaction after 48 hours, you are good to go.
It takes five minutes. You can book it as its own appointment or pop in without one; just allow the 48 hours before the colour appointment.
