Balayage or highlights: which one suits you?

Both make hair lighter. They differ in how they are applied, how they grow out and how often you come back.

Balayage or highlights: which one suits you?

Highlights are foiled in sections from the root, so they give an even, all-over lift and a visible regrowth line after six to eight weeks. Balayage is painted by hand onto the surface, heavier at the ends and lighter near the root, so it grows out softly and can go three or four months between appointments.

Choose highlights if you want to be lighter all over, if you have a lot of grey to blend, or if you like the brightness right at the root. Choose balayage if you want a sun-kissed, low-maintenance result or if you are going lighter for the first time and want to be able to stop.

Either way, a toner at the end settles the tone, and a patch test 48 hours before your first colour with us is required.
