How long does a skin fade last — and when should you rebook?
A skin fade looks its sharpest for about a week and tidy for two. Here is how to stretch it and when to book the next one.

A skin fade is cut to the skin at the bottom and blended up into the length. Because the shortest part grows back first, the fade loses its clean line in about seven to ten days and looks noticeably softer by week three.
Most clients who like a crisp fade rebook every two weeks; a low fade or a longer blend stretches comfortably to three or four. Between visits, keep the neckline tidy with a trimmer if you have one, and use a matte product rather than a shine so the grow-out is less visible.
When you book, tell the barber how long you want to go between cuts — a fade can be blended slightly higher or lower to suit a fortnightly or a monthly rhythm.
